Good question! For starters, the annual cost of a full-time senior-level engineer now exceeds $100,000, plus benefits (and good luck finding one available). Aside from that, you may not always have enough work to keep them busy, so you’re stuck paying for time you aren’t able to utilize.

With the monthly plan, you can pause and resume your subscription to ensure you’re only paying your engineer when you have work available for them.

Once subscribed, you’re able to add as many requests to your queue as you’d like, and they will be delivered one by one.

It’s difficult to say. How long it takes to design or reverse engineer a part or develop a new product is entirely dependent on complexity,  number of revisions, etc… You get the point. There’s a lot that goes into the engineering design process. But for each request you make, you will get an estimate based on your requirements.

Just for a general sense, a simple part (without complex survaces) that needs to be designed in CAD or reverse engineered from a 3D scan will usually be delivered in 1-2 days (same day also possible). While a complex product development project might take a full month.

With our Professional plan you get two engineers assigned to you and double the requests.

Should you need more than that we have the Enterprise plan which gives you the freedom to customize it based on your needs. You can get as many engineers as you need! At any time you’re able to request additional engineers for the team.

We offer a ton of flexibility in how you request designs using ClickUp. Some common ways clients request designs is directly via ClickUp platform (uploading files, documents,…), sharing large files via Google drive (or any cloud hosting) and via video calls for a better understanding of the requirements. All requests go through one of our Lead Engineers, who then assigns them to the most compatible engineer.

You can pause or cancel your subscription anytime.

The standard formats for CAD 3D files are .stp, .igs and .x_t.  For any technical drawings you can get them in .pdf, .dwg, .dxf… For renderings and other image files we can provide in .jpg, .png, etc… 

If there is a need for other formats we can provide that as well depending on client requirements.

We understand you may not have enough engineering work to fill up entire year. Perhaps you only have certain times of the year with too much work. That’s where pausing your subscription comes in handy.

Billing cycles are based on a one month period. Let’s say you sign up and use the service one month, and then decide to pause your subscription. This means that you lock in the subscription price for the next time you need it even if our subscription prices go up during your pause period.

The pause feature is available for up to 365 days (1 year) from the start date of the pause.
